SOUTH ENCANTO Named for the Spanish word "enchantment," the community of South Encanto is situated on approximately 640 acres in the Southeast portion of Southeast San Diego. It is home to nearly 7,000 residents and is bounded on the north by Imperial Avenue, on the south by Division Street, on the east by Woodman Street, and on the west by Valencia Parkway. We are currently working with community residents and resident-led organizations to continually update this portion of our web site with updated photos and stories that will offer a view from the windows and lives of the people who share the rich history and culture of this community.
